More info:
Been wanting to figure out how pixel art stuff works in Unity and this was a great opportunity for that. I used the 'Adventure Creator' plugin to handle a lot of the backend stuff, I'm not sure if AC is really intended to be used in this way (it's meant for point & click adventure games) but it's the only system I've learned thus far lol. It worked pretty well. I also discovered the power of Unity Prefabs.
I used Aseprite to create all the assets, just started doodling in pixels and this was the result. I didn't really have a plan and wasn't really planning on entering the game jam, but as I messed about I figure it may be worth continuing on with.
Started on Saturday afternoon, was out for quite a bit of Sunday, did some more that evening and wrapped up on Monday.
Sounds and music are from various royalty-free sound packs I've bought or collected over the years, the licenses are cleared for them. Music is from an Ovani Music pack called 'Japanese'.
The colour palette I used is called 'Endesga 32' by Endesga from lospec.com
This is the first game jam I've entered by myself. Surprised and absolutely delighted that there's something playable at the end of it.

I'm curious what's the least amount of destruction it's possible to clear the game with- as far as I can tell, it's impossible to go through without breaking anything...
Overall, a really funny game, the shrug at the end was adorable.
Hey, thanks for the comment, Snailsnip! I defs think the game needs a 'Path of Peace' award for not cronching anything or knocking anything over, lol. Have added it to possible future updates if/when I do more on it. Thanks for playing and for the kind words! ππβ€οΈ
